The Inn was OK, but the pillows were horrible. Ilse had to sleep on a cot. There was no cover on the toilet. No air conditioning, but there was a fan. No formal closet (just a small spot to hang clothes). No dresser. There was cable TV and free Wi-Fi. (Other type of rooms with kitchenettes were said to be available). The desk workers were very nice. |

From here, the two RV Gypsies were going to take their family to Seward for a cruise, but there was a bad fire in the area and the roadway was closed. Traffic along the Seward Highway south of Anchorage was brought to a standstill for about six hours because of a 300-acre wildfire near McHugh Creek. The fire was moving 50 feet per hour. So after taking a Segway tour and visiting the fish hatchery, the two RV Gypsies and family headed out to Talkeetna. |
